Doing What I Can...

"Of course he hasn't taken his pilgrima-" Auberon's cry cut the prince off. His face fell, rushing to the door. He swung the door open and his eyes fell to the prince's writhing figure on the bed. "Get me cold water and towels this instant!!" he barked. Servants bustled and ran, attempting to fulfill his commands. The young noble kept screaming again and again,. He could only imagine the amount of pain that he was enduring.

"It will not help. He must dispel the magic on his ow-"

"I know!" he snapped, glowering at the older woman, "But I have to do something!" Addar turned his attention back to the Hylian prince and he began to work the moment the servants came back with supplies. Addar desperately tried to keep the prince's temperature down. Auberon's skin was hot to the touch. If Addar hadn't been sure of it himself, he'd think it was piping hot metal.

It wasn't until the young prince looked down to his own hands before he realized he was panicking. No, this won't do... Calm yourself. Your emotions effect others... Deep breath and find your calm. The Gerudo youngling took a deep breath and let it out slowly. His hands moved over the child in front of him. He wouldn't use his magic; he was not trained enough yet. But, it would only serve to make the situation worse... That is why Prince Auberon was in this predicament in the first place.

It was then that the princeling let out another cry and his breathing stopped entirely. Addar's face fell as he watched the young boy's chest stop moving. "No!" he cried out. He stood up and pressed his ear against the boy's chest. Nothing. He put his palms against Auberon's chest and pressed down. It was hot, nearly burning his own hands, but he kept on. After three pushes he put his ear to the young man's chest once more, He desperately found himself wishing that the young Sheikah were awake. She might be able to shed some light on the subject, and he, like so many others in Hyrule, needed this young prince to survive.
